Discounts
8 questions · EasyMediumHard
A discount is taken off the marked price (MP). Selling price = MP × (100 − discount%) ÷ 100.
💡 Quick tricks
- Two successive discounts of a% and b% equal a single discount of a + b − ab/100 %.
- 20% off and then 10% off is 28% off, not 30%.
- Profit is still measured on cost price, even when the discount is on the marked price.
