Ratio & Proportion
8 questions · EasyMediumHard
A ratio compares quantities by division. To share an amount in the ratio a : b, split it into a + b equal parts.
💡 Quick tricks
- Share of A = total × a ÷ (a + b).
- To join A:B and B:C into A:B:C, make the B terms equal first.
- In a proportion a : b = c : d, the product of the outer terms equals the product of the inner terms: a × d = b × c.
