Decimal questions are really about where the decimal point goes. Work with whole numbers, then place the point at the end.
💡 Quick tricks
- Multiplying: count the decimal places in both numbers; the answer has that many. 0.4 × 0.7 = 0.28.
- Dividing: move the point the same number of places in both numbers until the divisor is whole.
- Line up the decimal points when adding or subtracting.
