Exponents

8 questions · MediumHard

Exponents are repeated multiplication. A handful of laws simplify almost every expression with powers.

💡 Quick tricks

  1. a^m × a^n = a^(m+n) and a^m ÷ a^n = a^(m−n).
  2. (a^m)^n = a^(mn).
  3. a^0 = 1 for any non-zero a, and a^(−n) = 1/a^n.
